Kickin' Collard Greens


4 slices of Bacon

1 onion, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp sea salt

½ tsp pepper

1 cup vegetable broth

1 pinch cayenne pepper

1 lb Collard Greens, cut into 2-inch pieces


  1. Melt ghee or coconut oil in a large pan over medium heat; add bacon. Remove and crumble and return to pan. Add onion and cook until tender. Add garlic and cook till fragrant. Add collard greens and fry until they wilt.
Pour broth over the greens and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne. Reduce heat to low, simmer for 45 minutes covered.
