Salsa Chicken


4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

4 tsp taco seasoning mix (Homemade Taco Seasoning can be found below)

1 cup salsa

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbsp sour cream (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. (190 degrees C.)
  2. Place chicken breasts in lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle taco seasoning on both sides and pour salsa over all.
  3. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until chicken is tender and juicy and its juices run clear.
  4. Sprinkle chicken evenly with cheese and continue baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with sour cream if desired, and serve.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Taco Seasoning Mix


2 tbsp chili powder

5 tsp paprika

4 ½ tsp cumin

3 tsp onion powder

2 tsp salt

2 ½ tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper


1. In a bowl, combine first seven ingredients. Store in an air tight container for up to 6 months.
